Technical Troubleshooting

Gas Cooking

This is indicative of the minimum rate not being set correctly on install.

Depress the control knob for a longer period. Up to 15 seconds is considered normal operation.

On some models, we use a single output generator. This is normal.

Ensure that you are using the correct size cookware.

Electric Cooking

Some models require the timer to be set to begin cooking. Check the user manual of your appliance for further instructions.

The cooling fan will run until the cavity of the appliance has cooled sufficiently. This is to protect the electronic components of the appliance to assist in prolonging the life of your appliance.

Protective oils / agents are used in manufacture and will be burned off when your appliance is first used. This is normal. Please refer to your user manual for further information regarding this process.

Likely a build up of fats and oil in the ovens cavity. Please refer to the user manual for instructions on cleaning.

Induction Cooking

The first thing to check when dealing with heating/cooking time concerns on induction cooking is your cookware. The base of your cookware should cover 75% of the zone (unless otherwise stated in your user manual) and it must be designed for use on induction cooktops for the cooktop to operate correctly. Check the base of your cookware as often the diameter of the base is vastly different to the top.

This noise is caused by the amount of energy being transferred from the hob to your cookware. The noise will be more prevalent on higher power settings.

Rangehood

Rangehoods do not have oil in the motor. The oil will be build up from extraction. Remove the filters and clean them per the user manual

Check the method of installation. Different types of ducting perform differently. Generally a solid style ducting (like conduit) will be less noisy.

Front Loading - Washing

Over time bacteria can become present in the drum of your washing machine. There are cleaning agents on the market that you can use in your machine to kill odours (available at your local supermarket or hardware store). We recommend once a month running the machine on its hottest setting without a load (ensure the spin cycle is at its lowest setting) to assist in preventing odours.

Check the water is turned on and that the inlet hose is free from obstruction.

Top Load - Washing

Check the drain pump filter for any blockages, refer to your user manual for detailed instructions.

Ensure that the appliance is levelled correctly.

Some models have a lint filter, ensure that this is cleaned regularly. You can check how to do this in your user manual. A build up of lint on clothes is also indicative of the machine being over loaded, or the water level being too low. Check your wash settings in the user manual

Drying

Some vented models will have a reset button on the rear of the appliance. Push this button and it will reset the thermostat.

Ensure that you are not overloading the appliance, you are using the correct setting and that the filters and cleaned/free from lint.

Dishwashing

Check the filters in the base of the dishwasher, make sure they are clear from any obstruction. If your appliance is newly installed, check the drain spigot connection is clear.

Ensure that the dishwasher is not overloaded and excess food scraps are removed from your kitchenware. Refer to the user manual for the appropriate wash setting for heavily soiled items.

We recommend using rinse aid. Also, keep the doors closed to allow the residual heat from the cycle to dry your kitchenware.

Check the water is turned on. Check for debris / grit in the fill hose micro filter.

Reduce the amount of rinse aid you are using.

Check that nothing is obstructing the spray arms.
